A tale of two kitties There once were two kittiesOne of them black And one of them calico Who flew by United and Lufthansa To Moscow in winter Then wished to fly back They first flew in December And no one complained They flew with two bookings And no one complained Two kitties Two seats And one man Lufthansa took their money Smiled and agreed United took their money Smiled and agreed And no one complained Sent them two emails Two kitties Two seats And one man Lufthansa promising “Nonstop you” But then came September Twas time to fly home He bought them new tickets And United agreed Lufthansa agreed They went to the airport Two kitties And their Dad Two kitties Two seats Two tickets And one man But one woman blocked them Would not let them fly She broke the contract Falsely citing a non-existent pet policy “One pet per person” Which was false Untrue Imaginary Outrageous And wrong The man opened his laptop To show her the bookings To show her the real policy But she turned a blind eye Ignored the truth And stood her ground Marking them as “no shows” After three hours of arguing The man called up United Who saved the day Rebooking them from Munich Just as before Two kitties Two seats And one man They boarded the night train From Bucharest to Budapest Two kitties Two seats And one man And then on to Munich With five bags And a guitar A very long journey Of nine hundred miles And many euros Unlike Lufthansa United was gracious And honored the bookings And fulfilled the contract Unlike Lufthansa They kept their promise Unlike Lufthansa They welcomed us all Two kitties Two seats And one man Flying us home Unlike Lufthansa “nonstop you” |
